Biological theory drag and drop word match
Criminology is the study of crime. Criminological theory divides into three main categories: biological theory, individualistic theory and sociological theory. Biological theorists seek to explain crime on the biological make up of the criminal. Individualistic theorists focus on the mind and personality whereas sociological theorists explain crime in terms of a criminal's relationship and interaction with societal structures. Biological theory includes physiological studies, genetic studies, adoption studies, brain injuries and disorders and biochemical explanations such sex hormones, blood sugar levels and use of intoxicants. Key theorists include Lombroso, Sheldon, Christiansen and Jacobs.
